Overview

Zeba at Fine Homes approached Smart Comms looking for a London landline number for her new Estate Agency business. Having worked in the property market for over 15 years it was important for Zeba, when launching the business, that her clients understood she was a genuine estate agency, based in South West London.

As a startup, Zeba wanted to receive calls on her mobile, as much of her time involved being out on property valuations and viewings, therefore little time in her home office. Running her business on her mobile, Zeba was also keen to be able to make a call from her mobile and present the 0208 number when phoning vendors and viewers.

Results

Initially, Zeba had planned to start her business using her mobile and was concerned that her business looked unprofessional against traditional and established estate agents already in the market.

Initially she would be managing between 5 and 10 calls a day per day, however she had been working on a new build project and was concerned that this call volume would increase significantly.

A common request with startups is launching the business with calls routing to an existing mobile. In Zeba's case there are a few important elements:

  • The number – 0208. We are one of few providers who offer the traditional 0208 numbers as well as new 0203 London numbers. We wanted Zeba to appear as if she’d been established longer by using an older number format.
  • Receiving calls on her mobile. Smart Comms offers virtual landline numbers that divert to mobiles via the mobile signal or via Smart Phone apps. In Zeba’s case, as it was important to have a reliable connection whilst out of the office, we recommended using our Tier 1 divert solution.
  • Managing inbound calls. With Zeba using a personal mobile, identifying a business call from a personal one was important. Therefore, we recommended a call plan package that included Whisper Call Announcement. This call package also included Time of Day routing, meaning Zeba was also able to have an out of hours business voicemail in the evenings.
  • Never missing a phone call. As a start-up company, we talked about the importance of EVERY inbound call opportunity, which is why Zeba chose to use Smart Comms 24-7 Live Call Answering Reception Service. Set up as a reception mop up, if Zeba was unable to take a new enquiry whilst on a viewing, Smart Comms are able to answer the call in her company name and take the callers information/message.

Solution Summary

An 0208 Virtual landline number diverting to mobile, with our unique mobile landline bolt-on to her 300 plan and using our 24-7 reception service as call mop up. We have run this service on a no contract option.

We have flexibility in place within this service to extend the call minutes or move the numbers over into our Smart VoIP office phone system, should her business grow.
